Explore inner worlds of solace and comfort with local artist and anthropologist Annie Sheng!
Join us for a hands-on exploration of surrealist art, food, memory, and “terroir”—the taste of the land. Reflect on your favorite places and comfort foods, then create your own surreal food landscape using pencil and watercolor.
Participants will also have the opportunity to view Annie’s new food landscape paintings and installations in the Lansing Community Library’s Community Room. Inspired by interviews with Tompkins County residents, the exhibition explores the connections between food, place, and personal experience.
